Wavey/Messy hair look

I always get complimented on my wavy locks! I wanted to show you all my trick to an easy wavey/messy hair look in the mornings, that does not take long at all!
Depending on how thick/long your hair is it depends, and how wavey you want it also depends, my hair is really thick so takes me longer, around 10 minutes only still!

Firstly, I part my hair in plaits, 2 each side, you can do more or fewer plaits depending on how thick/thin your hair is, if you want it really wavey I’d recommend doing 2/3 plaits each side so the plait is thinner thus coming out wavier. if you just want a messy hair or little wave do 1/2 each side.

In the following video, I then go into use my straighteners. I usually use GHDs but my mum stole them, but it doesn’t matter what straighteners you use! I then press over each part of the plaits holding down for around 10 seconds, gradually moving down the plait. I then slide it up and down the plait to make sure it down it all. If you want really curly waves, hold it down for longer in each part maybe 30 seconds, but be careful to not burn your hair.

Unfortunately I cant embed the following video but please watch it on the following link :):

This is all to it, then you can release your plaits and wallah! you have your curly messy hair! I usually do it more curlier and even but It still gives a nice shape to your hair if you’re bored of straight hair!

Watch the following video releasing the plaits 🙂 :

And this is the results!

Natural everyday makeup

This is a guide on my everyday makeup on what I wear on an everyday basis including the products and brushes I use. Its simplistic but my personal recommendations for my favourite makeup products!

After cleansing your skin in this morning and waiting 5 minutes after moistursing, I always start off with a primer. I currently use Becca Ever Matte Perfecting Primer which is specifically for oily skin which I sometimes suffer from. I buy the travel sized one which is cheaper and lasts ages, you only need a small pea sized amount, rub between your fingers and pat over areas you wish too (mainly T-Zone and cheeks).

With the becca primer, you have to apply foundation straight away otherwise it drys fast, but with most primers, its best to wait 5 minutes to let it dry. I go in with my favourite foundation, Nars Sheer Glow in 20N Light and my Real Techniques foundation brush.

I go in with concealer next, most people do this after eye makeup but I like to do it first. I use Tarte concealer which can be bought from Sephora online, I love this concealer, its so creamy and lot of coverage. Using an sponge I spread the concealer nearer my inner eye and dabb outwards.

Because I have oily skin, I have to use powder, I prefer loose powder and powder is best to keep makeup lasting longer. I love the Laura Mercer powder, using a No7 Powder Brush, I swipe everywhere over my face, using more under my eyes, so my mascara doesn’t smudge.

To follow, I use my favourite palette, the Becca Khloe/Malika Bronzer and highlighter palette. I use the bronzer with a Mac bronzer brush. Because I’m pale I rarely use the blusher, and I don’t like to use highlighter for everyday natural makeup.

After applying all my face makeup, I spritz with Mario Badescu, Most people tend to do this after applying all makeup, I like to do it after face makeup to keep it hydrated and so my eye makeup doesn’t get wet. You can get this online from beauty bay or look fantastic, it also comes in different forms with different ingredients, I prefer one with aloe vera.

I like to use eyeshadow to make my eyes pop, so I then use my Mac eyeshadow. If you go into any Mac store, you can have a palette like so and pick your own eyeshadows, the one I’m using is dazzle, but in Mac they have so many natural colours to choose from and you can go in and refill them anytime.

For mascara I use a simple drug store brand, Maybelline lash sensational, this one really makes my eyes pop and it doesn’t smudge under my eyes.

Following mascara, I use a collection 2000 mascara gel from Superdrug or Boots for around £1.99 to put on my eyebrows to give them more definition. You don’t need any expensive brow gels, this one works wonders and keeps them in place all day. Brush them how you like them, I tend to brush slightly upwards and outwards.

To finish off, I go in with a natural lipstick, this is from Mac and shade : Matte Honeylove 35 , sometimes I prefer to use a clear lipgloss for a more natural look, you can get a cheap clear lipgloss from anywhere
